In this tutorial you will handle reports in bulk in BuddyNext. After a wave of spam, you clear the whole queue in a few clicks, not one report at a time. You need BuddyNext Pro. Bulk Moderation is a Pro feature. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Bulk Moderation. Filter and select reports. Dismiss or remove them. Warn or suspend members. Then check the Moderation Log. Step one. Open Bulk Moderation. In the WordPress admin, open BuddyNext, Automation, then Bulk Moderation. Only administrators can open this screen. The Report queue lists the reports still waiting. Each row shows the content, the reason, who reported it, and when. Reports on comments and on members are in the same queue. A comment row starts with Comment by, and a member row with Member. Step two. Filter and select reports. Two lists above the queue narrow it, by type and by reason. Choose one, then click Filter. Here the queue shows spam reports on posts. Tick the reports you want. Or tick the box in the header, to take the whole page. A page holds twenty-five reports. With the page ticked, a link above offers to select every report that matches the filter, on all pages. Step three. Dismiss or remove them. Open Bulk Actions. Dismiss closes the reports and leaves the content alone. Remove content takes the reported items down. Type a Reason if you want one on record. Then click Apply. BuddyNext asks you to confirm before anything happens. Up to fifty reports are handled right away. A larger selection is worked through in the background. Each report is treated exactly as if you had handled it alone. Step four. Warn or suspend members. Scroll to Bulk member actions. In Members, type usernames, email addresses or member numbers, with commas between them. Type a Reason. Each member reads it in their notice and on their account page. A suspension cannot go ahead without one. For a suspension, set the Duration in days. Then click Warn members, or Suspend members. Both ask you to confirm first. Step five. Check the Moderation Log. Open Moderation, then Moderation Log. Every action is written here, one line for each report or member. Each line shows when it happened, the moderator, the action, the member, and the note. That is your record of what a bulk action did. That is all five. Bulk Moderation opened, reports filtered and selected, the action chosen, several members warned or suspended, and the Moderation Log checked. A full report queue is now a few clicks of work.
