How to pin more than one post to a profile in BuddyNext, step by step. On your own profile, open More options on one of your posts and click Pin. The free plugin allows one pinned post per profile. BuddyNext Pro raises that to three, which is the most any profile can hold. If you sell memberships and a default plan is set, each plan has its own Pinned Posts limit under BuddyNext, then Monetization, then Plans. Posts written inside a space cannot be pinned.

In this tutorial you will pin more than one post to a profile in BuddyNext. A pinned post stays at the top of a member's profile, above newer posts. Pinning one post is in BuddyNext, the free plugin. Pinning more than one needs BuddyNext Pro. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Pin a post. Pin more posts. Set the limit for each plan. Then see it as a member. Step one. Pin a post. Open your own profile, and stay on the Posts tab. On one of your own posts, click the three dots. The button is named More options. Then click Pin. The post moves to the top of your Posts tab, and stays there while newer posts go below it. Pin is only on your own posts, and only on your profile. A post written inside a space cannot be pinned. Spaces use announcements for that. Step two. Pin more posts. This is BuddyNext Pro. The free plugin allows one pinned post on a profile. With BuddyNext Pro active, a member can pin up to three. This profile has three pinned posts, and these are the first two. Each one carries the Pinned label, and the newest of them comes first. To take one down, open the same menu and click Unpin. The post goes back to its place by date, and another post can be pinned instead. Step three. Set the limit for each plan. If you sell memberships with BuddyNext Pro, and a default plan is set, the member's plan decides the number. Open BuddyNext, then Monetization, then Plans, and edit a plan. Under Limits, find Pinned Posts. This plan is named Pro, and it is capped at three. This is the Free plan on the same site. It is capped at one, so a member on it can pin a single post. A member who reaches the number is told how many posts their plan allows. Three is the most any plan can allow, and that holds for administrators too. Step four. See it as a member. Sign in as a member, and open that profile. The pinned posts are the first things on the Posts tab. A visitor to the profile can read them, but cannot change them. The menu on someone else's post has no Pin item. The Pinned label shows on the profile only. On the post's own page, the same post carries no label, and in the Activity feed it keeps its normal place. That is all four. A post pinned, more posts pinned with BuddyNext Pro, the limit set for each plan, and the profile seen as a member. A profile can now open with the posts that matter most, not only the newest one.
