In this tutorial you will manage activity from the admin in BuddyNext. One table lists every post your members have made. You need BuddyNext, the free plugin, and you need to be a site administrator. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the Activity table. Find a post. View or edit a post. Hide and restore in bulk. Then delete a post for good. Step one. Open the Activity table. In the WordPress admin, open BuddyNext. In the BuddyNext menu, open Engagement, then Activity. Every post is here, newest first, twenty five to a page. The columns are Author, Content, Space, Engagement, Status, and Posted. Engagement is three numbers. Reactions, comments, and shares. Status shows where the post stands, such as Published or Draft. Step two. Find a post. Above the table is a search box. It looks in the post text and the author name. Type a word, then click Filter. Now only the matching post is listed. A Clear button appears under the search box, to bring the full list back. You can also narrow the list by type. Post, Photo, Media, Link, Poll, Share, Announcement, or Discussion. And by status. Published, Scheduled, Pending, Under review, Draft, or Deleted. The two date boxes set a from and a to date. Step three. View or edit a post. Each row ends with three buttons. View opens the post on your site, in a new tab. Edit opens the post text in a panel called Edit activity, in place of the table. Change the words, then click Save changes. Cancel returns to the list and keeps the post as it was. Step four. Hide and restore in bulk. Tick the box on each post you want to act on. The box in the header ticks the whole page. Then open Bulk actions. There are three. Delete, Hide, and Restore. Choose one and click Apply. Hide takes a published post out of the feed without deleting it. Its status changes to Under review. Restore publishes it again. Step five. Delete a post for good. The red Delete button at the end of a row removes one post. It asks you to confirm first. Deleting cannot be undone. The post goes, together with its comments, reactions and poll votes. When in doubt, hide it instead. That is all five. The Activity table opened, a post found, a post viewed and edited, posts hidden and restored in bulk, and a post deleted for good. You can now reach any post in your community from one table. Next in this series: Add a content warning to a post.
