Under BuddyNext, then Automation, then Controls, Auto-hide after N reports hides a post or comment that enough different members have reported until a moderator reviews it.

In this tutorial you will report a post or a member in BuddyNext. A report asks a moderator to look at something. It does not remove anything by itself. You need BuddyNext, the free plugin. Reporting is on from the start. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the menu on a post. Choose a reason. Add details and send it. Report a comment or a member. See where reports go. Then hide what many members report. Step one. Open the menu on a post. Sign in as a member. Every post by someone else has a three-dot button in its top right corner. Click it, and choose Report. Step two. Choose a reason. A box opens, Report this post. It says the report goes to the moderators, and that the person you report is not notified. A reason is needed. There are seven. Spam, Harassment or hate speech, Misinformation, Inappropriate content, Fake account, Impersonation, and Something else. Step three. Add details and send it. Under the reason is Additional details. It is optional, and holds up to 500 characters. A moderator reads it before deciding. Then click Submit report. That is all. You can report each post once, and you cannot report your own. Step four. Report a comment or a member. Under every comment, beside React and Reply, is Report. It opens the same box for that comment. To report a member, open their profile and click More. Report is the last item in the menu, under Block. Step five. See where reports go. Every report lands with the moderators, in Community Admin, under Moderation. Nobody else sees it. Reports on the same post are merged into one row. This one has five reporters, so it carries a red dot. A report on its own removes nothing. The post stays up until a moderator dismisses the report or removes the post. Step six. Hide what many members report. In your WordPress admin, open BuddyNext, then Automation. The first setting is Auto-hide after N reports. It starts at five. When that many different members report one post or comment, it is put under review and hidden from other members, until a moderator decides. Reports from accounts less than seven days old do not count towards it. Set it to zero to turn hiding off. That is all six. The post menu opened, a reason chosen, details added and the report sent, a comment and a member reported, the queue seen, and auto-hide set. Your members can now tell you about a problem the moment they see it. Next in this series: Work through the moderation queue.
