In this tutorial you will share photos and albums on a profile in BuddyNext. Each member gets a Media tab of their own. You need BuddyNext, and WPMediaVerse, the companion plugin that stores the files. Both are free. Without WPMediaVerse, the Media tab does not offer uploads. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the Media tab. Add photos or video. Create an album. Manage an album. Then see it as another member. Step one. Open the Media tab. Sign in as a member, open your own profile, and click the Media tab. It has two views. Media is everything you have added, newest first. Albums are the groups you make from it. Step two. Add photos or video. Drag files onto the box, or click it to choose them. Photos, video or audio, up to ten at once. Once files are chosen, a bar appears under the box with Who can see this. Public, Followers, Connections, or Only me. The choice applies to the files you are adding now. Then click Upload. Anything marked Only me is left out of the tab for everyone else. They do not see a locked tile. It is not there. Step three. Create an album. Switch to Albums, and click New album. Give it a name. The description is optional. Who can see this is Public, Members, or Only me, for the album as a whole. Then click Create. Here we click Cancel, so no album is made. Step four. Manage an album. Click an album to open it. Add media lets you pick photos and video from your Media view. Edit changes the name, the description, and who can see the album. Delete removes the album only. The photos stay in your media. Step five. See it as another member. Sign in as someone else, and open the same Media tab. There is no upload box, because only the owner can add to it. The grid shows only what this visitor is allowed to see. Click a photo to open it large. That is all five. The Media tab opened, photos and video added, an album created, an album managed, and the result seen as another member. Your members can now show their work, and choose who sees it.
