In this tutorial you will read your community insights in BuddyNext, so you know whether your community is growing. You need BuddyNext, the free plugin. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open Insights. Read the At a glance cards. Read the New members chart. Then check the dashboard widget. Step one. Open Insights. In your WordPress admin, open BuddyNext, then Engagement, then Insights. There is nothing to set up. Every number is worked out from your own community data, on your own site. Step two. Read the At a glance cards. Members is your total, and under it, how many joined this week. Posts works the same way. The total, and how many were published this week. The other cards are running totals. Spaces, comments, reactions, connections and follows. The free plugin shows one more card, Active, last 30 days. This site also runs BuddyNext Pro, and its Analytics panel shows active members by day, week and month instead. Step three. Read the New members chart. Under the cards, New members shows signups for the last 14 days, one bar for each day. A tall bar is a busy day. A flat stretch is a quiet one. On this site one day stands out, and the days around it are flat. Step four. Check the dashboard widget. Open Dashboard, the first screen you see when you log in to WordPress, and find the box named BuddyNext community. It lists your members, how many were active in 30 days, your posts and your spaces, with the same weekly changes. View all insights opens the full screen from step one. That is all four. Insights opened, the At a glance cards read, the New members chart read, and the dashboard widget checked. You can now see how your community is doing at a glance.
