How to invite your first members in BuddyNext, step by step. Send a personal invitation by email, invite a list with a CSV file, or share one invite link to a space. Invitations are under BuddyNext, then Members, then Directory, then Invites.
In this tutorial you will invite your first members to your BuddyNext community. You need BuddyNext, the free plugin, and a site that can send email. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Invites. Invite one person. Invite a list. Share a space invite link. Then track your invitations. Step one. Open Invites. In your WordPress admin, open BuddyNext, then Members, then Directory, and click the Invites tab. Invitations work in every registration mode. In Invite Only mode, they are the only way in. Step two. Invite one person. Type their email address. Add a first name if you like. It is used to address the email to them. Then click Send invitation. They get an email with a personal link. It opens the sign-up form with their email already filled in. Step three. Invite a list. Under Send bulk invitations, choose a CSV file. Each row is an email, then an optional first name. Up to 500 rows are processed per upload. Then click Send invitations. Step four. Share a space invite link. To bring people into one space, open that space on your site, then its settings, then the Invite link tab. Choose when the link expires and how many people can use it. Then click Create invite link, and copy it into an email or a message. Step five. Track your invitations. Back on the Invites tab, every invitation you send is listed under Invitations. It is Pending until the person joins, and then Accepted. An invitation expires after seven days, and the filters show which ones have. That is all five. Invites opened, one person invited, a list invited, a space invite link shared, and your invitations tracked. Your first members are on their way in. Next in this series: Set up paid membership plans.
