How to find members with advanced search in BuddyNext, step by step. BuddyNext Pro adds a card named Advanced member filters to the search page, with Membership plan, Member of space, Member label, Joined on or after and Active within (days). Filters add up, and Reset clears them. In the Saved searches card you name the search on screen and click Save current; a member can keep fifty, and one click runs a saved search again. If you sell membership plans, the Saved & Advanced Searches switch on a plan decides which members get both.

In this tutorial you will find members with advanced search in BuddyNext. You will narrow a search with filters, and save it to run again. You need BuddyNext Pro. The member filters and saved searches are a Pro feature. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Search for members. Filter by label. Add more filters. Save the search. Run a saved search. Then choose which plans get it. Step one. Search for members. Sign in as a member, open Explore from the menu on the left, and search for a word. The results come in tabs. Click Members. The list is every member whose name or profile matches the word. Step two. Filter by label. Beside the results, scroll to the card named Advanced member filters. Member label lists the labels of your community. Choose one, here Verified, and click Apply filters. The list is cut down to the members who match the word and carry that label. Step three. Add more filters. Membership plan keeps the members on one plan. Member of space lists the spaces you belong to. Joined on or after takes a date. Active within takes a number of days, for members who were active that recently. Filters add up, so each one narrows the list further. Reset clears them all. Step four. Save the search. Under the filters is a card named Saved searches. Type a name for the search you have on screen. Then click Save current. The word, the tab and every filter are kept under that name. Each member can keep fifty. Step five. Run a saved search. Your saved searches are listed under the filters, in the same card. Click a name to run it. The search runs again with its word and its filters, on the members of today. Here, the designers who belong to one space. Step six. Choose which plans get it. If you sell membership plans, open BuddyNext, Monetization, Plans, and edit a plan. Find the switch named Saved and Advanced Searches. Members on a plan with it on can filter and save. Administrators always can. On a site without membership plans, every member can. That is all six. Members searched, the list filtered by label, more filters added, the search saved, a saved search run again, and the plans that get it chosen. You can now find the right members in a few clicks. Next in this series: Show a profile field only when it applies.
